Via Pitchfork comes the news that Kieran Hebden, the talented London wunderkind known as Four Tet, is planning a full-length follow-up to a Bloops and Bleeps favorite album: 2010’s There Is Love in You. Hebden has released a few isolated singles since his last major release, and also contributed a terrific compilation mix for the long-running DJ series FabricLive in September 2011, but this will be the first LP of new material in over two years. In April of this year, he gave a preview of a few songs that will be included on the forthcoming album in a DJ mix titled “Conference of the Birds“, so this announcement has been anticipated for some time.
The new album, titled Pink, will feature eight lengthy tracks that allow Hebden to work his glitchy transformative magic in full. Check out one of those new jams, “128 Harps”, below.
Look for Pink to drop in digital release on August 22 via Hebden’s Text label.
